Contest Winners September 2017 – March 2018
Hello, literary geniuses and entrants of ConfidentWriters Scholarship Essay Writing Contest!
We know you have been anxiously awaiting this day and, yes, it is finally here. ConfidentWriters Scholarship Essay Writing Contest has now come to a close and we were extremely overwhelmed by the immense number of literary masterpieces received. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your submissions as they were all enjoyable and our judges were thoroughly and constantly entertained during the review process.
We chose our top three winners on March 24, 2018 and, in case you forgot, the topics you were asked to write on were:
TOPIC 1: Key leadership skills for career success
Explain what good leadership skills are and how they contribute to a successful career. You may also include which leadership skills aren’t good and how they may hinder career advancement.
TOPIC 2: How digital technology is changing classroom environment
Explain how digital technology is used in the classroom and the positive and negative impact it has.
TOPIC 3: The value of social media for education
Explain how social media is used for education, the positive and negative impact it has and how you believe the negative aspect(s) can be either solved or minimized.
TOPIC 4: Advantages and disadvantages of online learning
Explain what online learning is, the ways in which it can be done and the advantages and disadvantages.
TOPIC 5: How and why teachers should motivate students
Explain why teachers need to motivate students, strategies they can use to motivate them and the possible impact or end result of their motivation.
We know the suspense is too much to bear so let us go straight into it. Our judges most enjoyed the essays written by:
- David Garcia (winner of $700)
- Alexandra Simmons (winner of $500)
- Sarah Campbell (winner of $700)
Each winner has already been notified via email. As for our literary geniuses who did not make it to the top three, we have a few words that we would like to say:
Your essays were excellent. All the submissions received for this contest were of extremely high quality, original and were interesting and informative to read. As a result, our panel of judges had a tremendously hard task in determining the overall top three winners. Based on the excellent bodies of works we received, we will host contests such as these on a regular basis so as to continue to support and encourage your passion for literature. It is our pleasure to continuously provide opportunities and the avenue for your brilliant literary minds to shine.
