Contest Winners August 2020 – August 2021
Greetings to all of you, participants, in this year’s essay writing contest. It is that time of the yearwhere we reward the best writers that participated in the recently ended competition. It has not been an easy time for us especially in trying to choose the top candidates. Additionally, it has been challenging because we have had to turn away very good essays that might have won the competition. However, we believe that the selected winners are worthy of recognition due to the excellent work they put into the essays. We would like to thank all the participants because your dedication and input to the activity were highly remarkable.
Though the panel had a challenging time selecting the winners, they came up with a final top three list of participants they believed had the best essays. They are
Carol Burke – $700 prize
Zachary Mullin – $500 prize
Kayla White – $300 prize
The essay topics were the following:
TOPIC 1: Advantages and disadvantages of homework. Please discuss.
TOPIC 2: Technology and education. Please discuss.
TOPIC 3: Is it necessary to grade teachers? What are your thoughts on this?
The panel settled on these names on August 13, 2021. They stated that though all essays were exceptional, the three had an edge because they incorporated different writing skills while following the instructions given. However, selecting these three winners should not discourage you from engaging in future essay writing competitions. We believe that failure to win should beenough motivation that will put you to come up with cutting-edge pieces of writing that will impress the selection panel in the next competition. Thank you for your participation and we look forward to seeing your essay entries in the next competition.
